The Methods Core (MC) will facilitate efficient and robust multidisciplinary research for the CSRP through application and evaluation of statistical approaches for predictive analysis of complex clinical data. This core includes a team of biostatisticians with expertise in clinical trials and machine learning methods, and a clinical informatics team with expertise in development and implementation of applications.
The MC Data Coordinating Center (DCC), led by Dr. Andrea Foulkes, guides and supports the CSRP in the development of research protocols, design and implementation of data collection systems, synthesis of data, statistical analysis, and data-related communications. This team is based out of Massachusetts General Hospital Biostatistics.
The MC Scalable Analytic Innovation (SAI) team, lead by Dr. Tianxi Cai, is based at Harvard and brings together experts in machine learning and statistics to support projects. They are responsible for the creation and dissemination of all applications and tools used throughout Center projects.

Tool Sharing
All tools developed by the Methods Core (MC) are available for free use through the MC’s Github and dissemination website. This includes the knowledge network, automated feature selection, and federated learning web apps.
The Methods Core will hold office hours to help support clinicians and scholars that want to use the CSRP’s tools for their own research. Questions can be submitted in advance to get help during these sessions.
